Responsibilities:

• Perform counseling assessments
• assist withbehavior management
• collaborate with behavior team
• providecounseling for students as delineated by IEP services  
• Serve as member of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee to assist with appropriate placement and contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans.

 

Requirements:

 

Accepted licenses:  One of the following

licensed professional counselor: LPC

licensed clinical social worker: LCSW

licensed psychologist: PhD psych

licensed marriage and family therapist: LMFT

• Knowledge of procedures for assessing achievement and intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning for educational purposes
• Knowledge of prevention and intervention strategies, including behavior management interventions
• Strong consultation skills for conferencing with teachers, parents, and other behavior specialists
